Applications
Designed for use onto PETG and the various thermoplastic PVC variations available.
NOT suitable for soft PVC. E.g. banner material. For this application we recommend the KromaFlex range of
inks.
Recommendations made by Kromex are to help you match the ink to a particular job, our suggestions are to
assist you and do not amount to a guarantee - Never start a print run without first doing a test print and being
sure that the chosen ink matches your expectations.
Thinning
KromaForm inks should be thinned using Thinner 404. For detail work and/or printing in hot conditions use
Retarder 406 as part of all of the thinner. KromaForm inks can be thinned up to 30%. If consistency needs
to be retained, we recommend using up to 5% (but no more than 10% as this may affect adhesion) of Gel
Retarder 436.
Coverage
The coverage and opacity achieved with KromaForm inks is greatly influenced by the amount of added
Thinner/Retarder, mesh used, etc. Using a 100 T Mesh and thinning 25% an approximate coverage of 70m2/ltr
may be expected.
Drying
Drying is by solvent evaporation and is influenced by the thinner used and the temperature and velocity of the
air over the print. Allow plenty of time for the solvents to evaporate. Premature stacking of the material will
cause the ink to rewet and stick the prints together.
Cleaning
We recommend Screenwash 101 or Screenwash Extra 103 for cleaning screens and equipment. Where Health
and Safety is foremost we advise the use of KromaFresh 106. A Non Hazardous, Biodegradable Screenwash
that has a Citrus aroma, making the workplace a better place to be.
Health & Safety
We manufacture the full range of KromaForm inks to conform to EN71. We also have 9 lead containing
alternatives available upon request. Refer to separate Health & Safety sheet.
