Applications
Super V Matt inks can be printed on self-adhesive vinyls and coated polyesters, Rigid PVC, ABS, CAB.
NOT SUITABLE for PETG and soft PVC . E.g. Banner material. For this application we recommend
KromaFlex range of inks. For PETG and Vacuum forming thermo-plastics we recommend KromaForm inks.
Recommendations made by Kromex are to help you match the ink to a particular job, our suggestions are to
assist you and do not amount to a guarantee - Never start a print run without first doing a test print and being
sure that the chosen ink matches your expectations.
Thinning
Super V Matt inks should be thinned using Thinner 404. For detail work and/or printing in hot conditions use
Retarder 406 as part or all of the thinner. For printing Rigid PVC use Thinner 408. Super V Matt inks can be
thinned up to 30%. If consistency needs to be retained, we recommend using up to 5% (but no more than
10% as this may affect adhesion) of Gel Retarder 436.
Coverage
The coverage and opacity achieved with Super V Matt inks is greatly influenced by the amount of added
Thinner/Retarder, mesh used, etc.. Using a 100 T Mesh and thinning 25% an approximate coverage of 48
m2/Litre may be expected.
Drying
Drying is by solvent evaporation and is influenced by the thinner used and the temperature and velocity of the
air over the print.
Cleaning
We recommend Screenwash 101 or Screenwash Extra 103 for cleaning Screens and equipment. Where Health
& Safety is foremost we advise the use of KromaFresh 106. A non hazardous, biodegradable screenwash that
has a citrus aroma, making the workplace a better place to be. To remove any stains that may occur use
KromaStain 540, a very efficient stain remover that will leave your screens looking new again, regular use of
540 will prolong the life of your mesh.
Health & Safety
We manufacture the full range of Super V Matt inks to conform to EN71. Refer to separate Health & Safety
sheet.
