Applications
Suitable for soft PVC. E.g. Banner material, self adhesive vinyl’s and coated polyesters, Rigid PVC, ABS, CAB. Ensure the
material is clean of silicones and excess plasticiser before printing.
Recommendations made by Kromex are to help you match the ink to a particular job, our suggestions are to assist you
and do not amount to a guarantee - Never start a print run without first doing a test print and being sure that the chosen
ink matches your expectations.
Thinning
KromaFlex inks should be thinned using Thinner 451. For detail and hand bench work and/or printing in hot conditions
use Retarder 456 as part or all of the thinner. For printing Rigid PVC use Thinner 408. KromaFlex inks can be thinned up
to 30%. If consistency needs to be retained, we recommend using up to 5% (but no more than 10% as this may affect
adhesion) of Gel Retarder 436.
Coverage
The coverage and opacity achieved with KromaFlex inks is greatly influenced by the amount of added thinner/retarder,
mesh used, squeegee hardness and angle etc. Using a 100T Mesh and thinning 25% an approximate coverage of 70 m2/ltr
may be expected.
Drying
Drying is by solvent evaporation and is influenced by the thinner used and the temperature and velocity of the air over the
print. Touch dry within 5 minutes at room temperature. Do not roll or stack until the print has been thoroughly dried,
allow a few hours at room temperature*. The times quoted are a guide only.

Cleaning
We recommend Screenwash 101 or Screenwash Extra 103 for cleaning Screens and equipment. Where Health & Safety is
foremost we advise the use of KromaFresh 106. A non hazardous, biodegradable screenwash that has a citrus aroma,
making the workplace a better place to be. To remove any stains that may occur use KromaStain 540, a very efficient
stain remover that will leave your screens looking new again and with regular use, will prolong the life of your mesh.
Health & Safety
Although 9 standard KromaFlex inks contain lead, the full range is available, as an alternative, to conform to EN71. When
ordering please state a ‘lead free preference’. Refer to separate Health and Safety Data Sheet.
